HOW TO PREPARE PRE BEAUTY APPOINTMENT

First thing’s first, please, PLEASE make sure you come in with clean, dry skin and no makeup on - love from the whole beauty industry 😜

Now that’s out of the way, some more tips below:

  • Shower BEFORE your appointment. Especially if you’re getting your lashes or brows done as you can’t get these areas wet for 24hrs post appointment (this is to assist with setting and overall longevity of the product)

  • Arrive with DRY hair regardless of your appointment types. Firstly, you’ll be sitting anywhere between 45mins to 2hrs still, so you may get cold and secondly, unless a hairstylist/hairdresser asks you to arrive with DAMP hair, it’s just the polite thing to do

  • Cleanse, tone and moisturise your skin as normal if you use a routine. If you use an oil as part of your routine, that’s fine, just use a lesser amount, especially if you’re getting your lashes or brows done. Excess oil can breakdown and effect the active ingredients used in lash/brow services (your beauty therapist will cleanse pre-appointment anyway to ensure they’re working with a clean base)

  • Make sure any residue of mascara is fully off your eyelashes for any beauty service

  • Avoid or schedule any type of waxing/laser for a minimum of one week prior

  • Don’t magically start using new skincare products 48hrs before hand, especially with potent actives like retinol or lactic acid in them if you’ve not used them before. One, you may react to the product and two, purging is a common effect of actives (completely normal) but this means you may have more breakouts/texture then normal

Lastly, if you’re unsure if there’s something particular you should or shouldn’t do pre-app, don’t be afraid to double check when confirming your booking. We don’t bite!

I hope these tips helped you. Don't forget to share with a friend you think would find these tips helpful
